In this English lesson we’ll study fast English in conversation and help you understand the way native speakers use English in a casual context. Learning to analyze conversation is a great way for you to speed up your English speaking and deepen your comprehension as you learn how to speak fast English. This video is an English tutorial that lets you listen to native speakers who are speaking fast, while giving you all the analysis you need to comprehend what’s going on. Native English speaking goes at a pace that feels incredibly fast to English students. But you can absolutely improve your speaking English skills with this kind of lesson. You can learn English with American pop songs! I'll show you how to use music to improve your English learning skills and you'll have a lot of fun too. In this video I'll analyze the spoken English in Taylor Swift's song Wildest Dreams. We'll learn about English reductions and real spoken English, giving you new tools to sound more natural when speaking with an English accent and more deeply understand native English speakers. When you learn English with songs you're unlocking one of the toughest problems about improving your spoken English: as you sing along, you're naturally and melodically mimicking the sounds you hear (vs. simply reading text off a page). Your brain and voice are working together to re-create the sounds you're hearing...you'll be doing exactly what I teach my students to do to make their English speaking sound more natural! Learn English vocabulary words for driving! I will teach you the American English pronunciation for driving-related words common in the US. You can use this English vocabulary video as a training guide, reading along with me and practicing your pronunciation with the on-screen IPA. You’ll learn the exact American English pronunciation for 25+ common vocabulary words for driving in America. You’ll come along with me on a road trip as we learn the following vocabulary words: Blind Spot Shoulder Tailgate Accelerator Delay Slow Down Accident Fender Bender Back Seat Driver Change Lanes Country Road Slam on the Brakes Cross Walk Yield Cruise Control Detour Drive Through Exit Flat Tire Spare Tire Rest Area Service Plaza Gas Station Rest Stop Interstate Lane Park Parallel Park Heavy Traffic Rush Hour Commute Traffic Jam Roundabout Stop Turn Speed Merge Your spoken-English vocabulary will improve most if you pause the video as you go, training with multiple repetitions. Your ears and voice will work in tandem to help you improve. While it’s important for you to read and memorize vocabulary words as you’re learning English, that’s only half of your work. If you’re like the vast majority of English language learners, you want to improve your English skills so that you can have more conversations and feel more confident as you’re speaking. There’s simply no better way for you to increase your vocabulary than to learn words in context. And that’s what we’ll do here. Pronouncing these vocabulary words like a native speaker requires that you learn the reductions, intonation and rhythm used by Americans. I’ll walk you through everything in detail, using IPA to be precise about each sound. I’ll describe what your tongue, lips and mouth need to do in order to produce each sound with precision. While I know that it’s not easy to improve your spoken English vocabulary I hope this video will help you make a lot of progress. Good luck!
